Important if you’re ordering DVD’s from now on

From Budoshop by BUDOSHOP.SE

dvd_caseShipping costs is getting higher, we’re not selling as much DVD’s as before, more and more people are happy with the download videos. We are also running out of DVD cases, and we buy them in bulk and they take up office space.

So instead of raising DVD or shipping costs we’re gonna start delivering the DVD’s without the plastic case from now on. When order you will get the DVD and a print out of the cover, but no plastic case.

I guess most of you who buy DVD’s have some system where you store the DVD’s to save space without the plastic cover anyway. If you want a plastic cover you can find it every where, search for “DVD case”. …

The DVD version contains 20 minutes of extra footage from two mini seminars with the theme Naginata and Yari.

Note: The instructions was in Swedish, but there is really no need to understand exactly what was said. There is not so much philosophical talk, but more more action that you will understand in the movement.

It’s over!

From Sweden Taikai 2013 - Sweden Taikai 2013 by alexander

Tai Kai Sweden 2012 is over, and I’ve had a few days to cool my brain down. It was quite a lot of work, and between Anne’s cold and my busted knee, we couldn’t participate in training all that much. It did give us time to circle around and get a feel for the whole event, and it would seem that the consensus is that Tai Kai Sweden 2012 was a smashing success!

We are working on the DVD as fast as we can, and I’m just about ready with the pictures I took. I shot 750 frames during the two days so it has taken some time to go through them and decide which to keep and which not to. They will be up in a day or three!

Once again a huge thank you to the instructors and all our participants, and I hope we will meet again at a future Tai Kai!

The Bujinkan theme for 2012 is SWORD…

From Budoshop by BUDOSHOP.SE

The Bujinkan Theme for 2012 training is “futsu” and there will be a lot of trainings with the sword. When I’m writing this the trainings haven’t started yet, and no one really knows what the trainings will be like. I’ve already seen some good articles explaining some concepts, but I’m not sure if they will help you or plant something different in your mind that will distract you from what Hatsumi Soke will teach us this year.

At Budoshop.se we got many Bujinkan sword DVD’s from the past years that might be good for studying the base sword work that is taught in the Bujinkan. We also have Swedish Tai Kai DVD’s with Hatsumi Soke, he always taught a lot of sword techniques in the past to. If you haven’t been around that long or just want to recap from the old days we got some good DVD’s for you. Check them out!…

Dean taught us how to use the knife and pistol. How to carry them, how to draw them, how to use them against unarmed or unarmed opponent. He also taught how to defend against the same kind of attacks.

By learning how to use a knife and a pistol and getting to know how they can be used against someone, you also get a far better understanding how to defend yourself against these weapons. Dean taught us how to use the knife and pistol. How to carry them, how to draw them, how to use them against unarmed or unarmed opponent. He also taught how to defend against the same kind of attacks. These techniques is done with the knowledge and principles of what we learn in Bujinkan Budo-taijutsu from grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi Soke. Hatsumi Soke have asked Dean to teach us the real fighting principles from his experience as he see that many people in Bujinkan only play around without really understanding the true fighting principles that he teach. This seminar was organized in Stockholm, Sweden on 29th and 30th of October 2011.

About the Instructor

Dean Shihan has a lot of experience from real fighting in the independence war of Croatia, and also from his time in the police force. He was born 1965 and started training Martial Arts at the age of 10. He have experience from many martial arts styles but he was not completely satisfied with them until he found the warrior art – Bujinkan Ninjutsu/Ninpo Taijutsu. For his full resume, check out his websites. http://www.bujinkan.hr and http://www.specwog.bujinkan.hr
